Spanish flies have nothing to do with flies. It is a very effective aphrodisiac. What does it consist of, who is it suitable for and how did that strange sounding name come about?
Multiple Views, Multiple Bodies…
And that’s why this editorial review was created – as part of our Lascivious editorial team, we thought we wanted to get to the bottom of (or taste?) various aphrodisiac or libido support aids. And the first to go were the “famous” flies from the Spanish shores…We ordered countless of them in the editorial office – there will be a comparative big summary review – and divided them in individual testers.
And this review – which is specifically on the HOT Extreme flies downright for women – will gradually expand to include the experiences of other female testers who also took them home… whether to their partners, their partners’ partners, or just purely for themselves (each was curious as a puck).
What are spanish fly?
Starting with the basics, Spanish toadstools are a powerful aphrodisiac, according to heaps of sources. Mankind has known them since time immemorial. They were used in ancient Greece and the Middle Ages. In fact, the famous Marquis de Sade was a well-known devotee of this remedy, and it has made a real mark on the history of sex.
For example, an event that took place in the summer of 1772 in Marseille is documented. The Marquis and his servant held an orgy accompanied by as many as five women. And, of course, that powerful aphrodisiac was present. However, its use got out of hand for the Marquis and two of the participants suffered health problems.
The Marquis de Sade then had considerable difficulty explaining the whole unpleasantness, and the charge of deliberate poisoning was even brought against his head.
What is the actual power of Spanish flies?
Originally, these were extracts of a beetle in the mayfly family. This is called the medical vesicle fly and is otherwise known as the Spanish fly. It is a species that is commonly found mainly in southern Europe and the African Mediterranean.
The main active ingredient extracted from this animal is cantharidin. While it is an effective aphrodisiac, it is also an equally reliable poison, an excessive dose of which can even lead to the death of the consumer. Therefore, contemporary medicine has resorted to a number of innovative and, more importantly, safer preparations, which it recommends to men in order to improve erections and enhance libido.
Spanish flies in modern concept are completely safe
The toxic effect of cantharidin is already very well known, which is why it is not allowed for direct use in most countries. Therefore, Spanish flies with the original recipe of the puffball are no longer available. Contemporary flies use all-natural ingredients that are effective, but at the same time absolutely harmless.
It is primarily a synthetic variant of cantharidin, or similar substances. Modern preparations are based on an amplified action of the basic active substance with the contribution of a number of other components, usually amino acids and vitamins. Modern/modern (and therefore safe) Spanish flies thus rely on, for example, L-arginine and vitamin C.
How do they taste?
Since Spanish flies don’t taste very appealing, manufacturers are trying to remedy this by adding flavours to their products. Most often, you can get Spanish flies with a fruity flavour.
Some manufacturers are moving away from the original, let’s say “retro” flies. Although it was originally a non-plant aphrodisiac, you can now even buy preparations based on plant extracts under that name.
How are Spanish flies used and who are they suitable for
There are various brands available on the market, you can get them mainly in sex shops, less often in pharmacies. As a rule, they take the form of drops, but they are also sold in tablets. Their use is usually similar, about 30 minutes before intercourse.
Modern Spanish flies are suitable not only for men, but also for women. In men, Spanish flies have a improvement of erection and the product has a similar effect of increasing sexual experience due to improvement of blood circulation in women. Thanks to its natural composition, it does not cause any side effects.
Caution for unnecessary overdose
However, it is necessary to follow the dosage recommended by the manufacturer. Similarly, it is important to note that Spanish flies are classifiable as a food supplement under current legislation. It is therefore not a medicine and Spanish flies cannot treat erectile dysfunction.
If you suffer from serious health problems, consult a doctor. Similarly, these products are not a substitute for a varied diet.
Spanish flies also do not work without sexual stimulation. Also note that most manufacturers do not recommend combining this product with alcohol, which is usually known to impair sexual function.
And now my/our actual review (or test?)
My editorial partner and I picked up a number of flies – including these purely “female” flies. Or HOT Extreme Woman = the name and the color of the packaging clearly suggests that there will be no kingdom of penises here.
Manufacturer’s Ingredients, or a transcription of the package label: Aqua, Alcohol (ethanol), Angelica Sinensis Root Extract, (0.78%), Humectant E422, Acid E330, Preservative E211, E202, L-ascorbic acid, L-arginine, Emulsifier Polysorbate 20
So, nice and Czech:
- water,
- leather,
- extract of Chinese angelica (specifically the root),
- moisturizer,
- citric acid,
- preservatives,
- vitamin C,
- amino acid L-arginine (no Czech equivalent)
- and an emulsifier at the end.
For 1 dose (4 ml), the proportions of the ingredients are as follows: Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C) 16.8 mg (approximately 20% of the recommended daily dose) and L-Arginine – 12 mg.
How much does 1 dose go out
The pack has a total of 30 ml and if you take the recommended dosage of 4 ml per imaginary head (or genital organ – haha), then 1 pack will give you approximately 7-8 doses. So, in a couple, you have enough for 4 sexual encounters. And here I warn, a maximum of 2 doses should be taken in 1 person per day – these correspond to about 30 drops.
The product looks like a transparent liquid, in our case in 1 bottle slightly cloudy, the other only decently = according to the manufacturer it is fine. These are natural extracts, so they can cloud the base liquid, which according to the ingredients is harmless water and alcohol.
Quick-on-time?
In testing, dosing about 40 minutes before the event worked best for us – half an hour was pretty short and the effect (and yes, we’re only just writing here that it had an effect – and unexpectedly for me = my friend just enjoyed my enthusiasm and horniness) didn’t show up until slightly later. So rather from my experiments I recommend approximately giving it the 40 minutes before. It’s a bit distracting to plan sex, of course, but given the kids/babysitting most adults know that it often doesn’t go as spontaneously as it did in my youth at parties – hello bush.
My recommendations
I’m genuinely curious to see the reaction/results from my “colleagues” – we tested this piece independently (although I’d love to test it with some of them together = and they know that about me), so the results will also be published here on the site gradually and at another time.
But they will always be in this 1 article, because at Lascivek we honor that 1 product = 1 article. But for me – yes, there’s not much to describe what I smelled, but the sexy energy definitely counts, and on multiple trials (we had multiple bottles = multiple opportunities to try) it felt about the same.
I followed the dosage, putting drops in my juice and water – the taste for this particular piece ranged from not so much, to giveable. It’s hard to specify, such a “leaf in the booze”. For a women’s drink, pink logo and jokes all around, it’s definitely not a girly drink. So feel free to beat it with juice or juice – but for me it’s worth it:)
