We tested hard, sometimes to the edge of our abilities – in this case, our asses. But we have the most objective selection of anal plugs for you. Ones that will turn you on, help you prepare for anal sex, or maybe even replace it.
Our shortlist includes pieces only made of non-toxic materials, with a suitable “flesh” anatomical shape and with features that make penetration and anal teasing more enjoyable.
How did we choose the best anal plugs for 2023?
First, we need to clarify the overall toy selection – for anal plugs, we chose both “dildos” or non-vibrating aids, as well as “vibrators” that are vibrating. Each of these types of aids has its own special shape for anal play. As a rule, it has a larger foot against slipping into the anus (classic straight aids are not recommended for anal play) and a more gradual growth in diameter.
We’ve gone into more detail about the introduction of each toy both in the individual reviews (links are in the overview table) and in our how-to guide, which has become essential material for any anal beginner. The handy guide also includes tips on the ideal shape and diameter for first penetration.
Why trust our ranking
We are the only ones in the country constantly and independently (the server is not run by a toy retailer, we are enthusiasts in our own right) testing sex toys since 2010 and indeed these toys have passed through our hands (not only). We have their own photos, videos. There are bombastic charts of best-selling plugs, but the authors have never seen the toys, never held them in their hands, maybe never owned any toys. We do – we have over 300 real reviews.
We considered the following when making our selection:
- material (surface fineness, cleaning, healthiness),
- features (what it offers compared to the competition, how it irritates you better, …),
- strength/effect on orgasm (or if and how it helps you to orgasm),
- use (can it be used in foreplay, masturbation, or even in couple sex?),
- price (it is a guide for us in making a decision, but it is not crucial),
- type of charging (if it needs some batteries)
- and fun (or if we have fun with this toy more often and just don’t get tired of it).
All the toys in our (continuously actualized) selection have the ideal intersection of these values and (this is probably the most important thing for us) we like to come back to them and enjoy them again and again. Both in solo play and with partners. They’re just spoiled and it would be a shame not to share them with you.
Because our current toy rating system is not comprehensive and, let’s say, scoreable (like 1-10), so we have to create such buying guides gradually and manually = and that’s why we don’t roll them out right away, but gradually and unfortunately slowly. Still, we believe the wait was worth it and these toys will give you lots of joy and orgasms 😉

Ranking of the best quality dildos and butt plugs
Here we have already listed the individual winners (TOP 10), compiled by our editorial team for this year. Here we have representatives of both classic “static” plugs and vibrating helpers, so every lover of this unconventional pastime will find something for themselves.
For us, probably the most interesting anal plug of all we’ve had the opportunity to test. Looking innocent, an L shape for teasing both the prostate and the sensitive male perineum is not that rare – but it’s brilliantly made here anyway. Plus there are prominent protrusions for the perineum. But what we like most is its expandability, which is not solved by any inflatable, but by the purely elastic element inside the plug and the properties of the silicomed itself (which is what the plug is made of).
For insertion, just squeeze the head in the middle, it will shrink for penetration, and immediately after insertion it will spontaneously expand. And believe me, it’s a noticeable stretch. Add to that a vibrating cartridge that is definitely one of the strongest on the market. And you have the perfect male partner. It’s got everything it should have – super material, vibration, male G-spot (prostate) teasing and a fun stretch to boot.
Fun Factory Duke
Fun Factory may be a traditional German brand, but they are still curious and looking for new shapes and improvements. And it’s the innovatively shaped Duke (aka Duke) that hits the mark – strong vibrations (removable in cartridge form), ideal shape for the prostate and magnetic charging.
It’s the men’s toy for this millennial. An honest worker that will help you with prostate massage and orgasm thanks to multiple vibration modes. Plus, it’s waterproof and even its price is defensible to us. That’s why we’ve included it in our top ranking.
If you love rimming – or stroking your ass with your tongue – this toy is not to be missed. Even if you have no experience with this practice – you’ll enjoy it all the more. Basically, it’s a perfectly crafted (and larger) plug with a simple shape. All encased in silicone with magnetic contacts for charging at the base. At first glance, a solid representative of plugs…
But when you turn it on, you’ll notice an inconspicuous bustle on the plug’s shank – as if something is circling and moving inside. Yes, there are beads hidden inside on a rotating cylinder, which circle and circle when switched on, thus irritating the very sensitive wreath after introduction. Until you experience it, you don’t know what you’ve missed. For that, it rightly deserves third place in the ranking!
G prostate vibrator
Simplicity itself – solid plastic material, flared and curved tip, and charging via insertable batteries. A very reasonably priced (one of the cheapest on the list), yet effective prostate massager. There’s not much to fancy about it – the surface is soft, it’s quick and easy to clean, and with a little gel it slides well where it’s supposed to – on the prostate.
Fun Factory B-Balls Duo
As we wrote above, they don’t mess around too much at Fun Factory, combining and trying what they can. And it almost always works. Now they’ve taken the logic, shape, and materials of the popular Venus Smartballs, added a narrower shank, and a flared foot to prevent them from slipping up your ass.
So the duo variant (there’s also a UNO – with one ball) is a solid cramp, but they make up for it by functioning without vibration. So you can enjoy them even during the day while walking – either voluntarily or surrendered. Unconventional, but they’ve earned their place on the list.
Fun Factory Bootie
A staple in every man’s gear, the Bootie is the ideal beginner’s butt plug. Gentle shape, flexible silicone and L-shaped head for prostate. You don’t even notice and it’s already stuck in you up to the base. Just a drop of gel on the tip and you’re ready to explore new avenues of sex. It’s now available in larger sizes – S, M, L, … so you can take advantage of the simple but beautifully fitting shape even when you need more diameter in you.
Rocks Off Rude Boy
A simple classic made of pure silicone and with a removable vibrating cartridge (so it can be used to tease testicles, nipples, or even a partner). The L shape ensures easier insertion, irritating the perineum (the space between the testicles and the ass). We appreciate the precise fit of the prostate shape, the softness of the material, the perineum protrusions and the triple vibration mode. The downside is the substandard battery and the unpacked storage case. But still, it’s a great Mizer for your butt.
Rocks Off RoZen Throttle Ring with Plug
The RoZen is for the connoisseur – it allows you to strangle your penis and warm through thicker rings (ensuring longer, stronger erections) while introducing a vibrating peg. The vibrations are of course transmitted to the penis, so not only you but your partner will enjoy it too. You will therefore enjoy it most with your counterpart, for solo play is unnecessarily complicated and we have better representatives in the ranking for these needs (start from 1st place to 7th place).
Fun Factory Boosts
The bigger and more challenging (and therefore more fun) sidekick to the Bootie dildo – that’s Boosty. As the name accurately says, it’s more perky – it’s made up of 3 atypically placed silicone bubbles that are topped with a distinctive and secure anti-slip foot. At Fun Factory, they know what the discerning man needs.
This plug (without vibration – but you can add a vibrator, head or vibrating cartridge from another toy) will be a little fiddly at first, but will reward you all the more when worn. The padding is noticeable and massages you solidly.
Inflatable Anal Plug
One of the oldest representatives of the pplugs that we at Lascivious.cz have tested. It is made of latex, so it has a worse cleaning = we recommend using it in a condom. It has undeniable values – it can really inflate thanks to the included balloon and if you are solidly filled, it will still get you (really) in your knees thanks to the strong vibrating cartridge.
You can control it smoothly remotely with a wired remote with replaceable batteries. In appearance or packaging, it’s not the sexiest and most designer piece, but it will do you an incomparable service thanks to filling you up like never before.
What did these PLUGS do to earn their victory?
They impressed us through these 4 qualities:
- increased diameter
- irritation of the prostate.
The basic (and best) material for these toys is medical grade silicone – a non-porous material that does not age, holds its shape, color, is easy to clean and has a pleasant surface. It’s stiffer than gel, but it also conforms well to the shape of the body – crucial for anal – and also takes temperature quickly. So it only takes a moment and you wouldn’t know it from a live one.
One of the most interesting features with anal plugs is definitely their expandability – or the ability to increase/decrease the diameter. That is, they are smaller when inserted, but then you can enlarge them until they feel as full as possible in your asshole.
Vibrations have also gained popularity with these toys whether generated by a motor or spontaneously (in the case of Venus Ball type devices). These are pleasant to introduce, to tease, but also to wear – not all plugs are just for bed, but you can have them in hidden clothing and anywhere outside. And the surroundings won’t know that your bottom is enjoying a delightful massage.
We also evaluated these toys for their ability to stimulate the prostate, or male G-spot. This specific part of the body is very sensitive to touch and greatly helps to speed up and intensify orgasm = when properly teased. The toys are appropriately shaped for this stimulation so that they reach directly to the prostate and either rub, press or vibrate it.
Experiences of our readers with anal plugs?
These are our finalists who gave our ass the best time! Do you also have your hot favorites that we missed here? Let us know your experiences with anal toys in the comments. We’d love any new review/test, tutorial, …
I bought a Prock once and I’m not very happy with it. I don’t think I’m doing anything wrong. It just slides away. Of course it’s because of the gel, but it’s not worth saving it for anal. So the whole time I was just trying to hold the toy so it wouldn’t slip out and that made the pleasure a complication. I haven’t used it since. So used about 3 times.
But the Fun Factory B-Balls Duo is awesome. They’re bigger, so you have to prep the anal properly and introduce slowly and carefully, but then they’re comfortable to wear (they don’t slip out due to the size) and it’s something crazy during sex. As soon as I started pumping more, I was done right away. And the orgasm was as strong as it has ever been. So I can recommend these.
My wife once teased my anus with the Icicles No.2 (snowman) dildo, which was very interesting and quite pleasurable, but it’s not a classic anal dildo like the ones in the article.
Have a nice day,
yes, we have been dealing with this with Prock as well – we mentioned it in the final test. We solved it then by lubing it less and wiping our hands after inserting it. It’s also influenced by its shape, which is not tapered to stop at the “foot” like traditional pins. We also have bigger favorites on our list – for me it’s the B-Vibe and the perfect XPander 🙂
Thanks for the feedback on the balls, those are really great and it’s nice that FF thought that men can enjoy that kind of vibration when they move too. It’s such a simple idea, just add an anti-slip foot.
I agree that the Icicles has great dildos – we considered putting one in this final 10 too – specifically the Rampouch, but ended up not doing it as it’s not a straight up anal toy. And then it would have gone awry and we could have included, say, classic vibrators that can also be introduced.
