For those who don’t know what a chastity belt is, it’s basically a kind of cage. It restricts “sexual activity” and comes in two versions—for women and for men. Here’s my review of the men’s version for you.

Editor’s note: It doesn’t happen often, but we’ve received two reviews for the same product—the Spiderwire men’s chastity belt (1st generation). We’re publishing both because they offer different perspectives—from the locked-in sub (previous review) and the locking dominatrix (this one).

What types of chastity belts are there—in general and in detail

Chastity belts come in these types—metal, plastic, silicone, and leather. In various designs. Plastic belts can also be adjustable (meaning you can change the length of the belt). The locks can be classic metal ones or “disposable” ones. Classic locks are keyed. And the disposable ones? They’re plastic and work by snapping into place, after which you have to cut them off. Otherwise, you can’t remove them. They’re single-use.

In my opinion, a key lock is better. Because the sub can cut the plastic one and thus unlock the strap. You’ll find out later (once the lock is cut, it’s unusable) and he’ll get punished. But that’s another matter. Each of these locks has a unique number. Which means that if the sub thinks that, for example, since they have the locks with them or you simply live together, they can just swap it out for a new one. They are sorely mistaken.

First chastity belt selection – let’s start with a review

My partner and I chose this chastity belt. I liked its design. It really does look like a cage. It’s made of metal. I knew that, but I didn’t expect it to be so heavy. I had high hopes for it. The reviews were good. Plus, a few belts were on sale at the time. So even more affordable.

We paid just over 1,000 crowns. Otherwise, the price of these belts is usually around 1,800+. I also liked that, thanks to the gaps between the bars, I could expect easy maintenance and didn’t have to take it off basically every time I washed it. Because sometimes he really didn’t deserve for me to unlock it…

The belt’s appearance is important

As I already wrote, it’s like a metal cage. Those “bars” seem a bit too massive to me. And that also really affects the belt’s weight. The belt is rounded toward the bottom. That’s why putting the belt on, at least for me, was quite a challenge.
The lock on belts in general is really tiny, and so are the keys. Personally, I hung them on a chain around my neck.

My friends sometimes ask me about it (if they notice). I tell them I didn’t even know I’d found them while cleaning out a shelf—they were in one of my “display” mugs—and that I just liked how tiny they were. So I put them around my neck so I wouldn’t have “just” a chain there. They’re satisfied with that, but they look at me pretty strangely.

I still think some excuse is better than saying:

Well, look, I’m a sadist and these are from a chastity belt. Or—I’m into BDSM (sadomasochism) and these are the keys to a chastity belt. They probably wouldn’t even know what that is anyway. And even if they did… I don’t need to go around shouting it from the rooftops….

And then there’s the last part of the belt, which is a metal ring. You can choose any size for this belt. My partner and I appreciated that. But we had to order a properly fitting ring separately. You can find out why and read about my experience putting it on below.

Nude photos from the test

Putting on the chastity belt?

The chastity belt arrives in a box and is divided into two parts. The first is a metal ring. The second part is the cage itself. First, we place the ring on the testicles and then on the penis. The next step is to put on the cage. We snap it into the ring and lock it. We fasten the leather belt around the waist.

What to watch out for? (My experience)

Complications arose as soon as we tried to put on the ring. The ring was smaller than the circumference of the penis itself. So we ordered a ring with a larger diameter. Once the ring fit, there was again a problem with the cage. Since it’s slightly curved downward. The penis was soft. My partner suggested that he could masturbate a little to make it harder so it would slide into the cage more easily. So I tried that.

Unfortunately, the penis was again too wide. We waited until it was “at rest” again. Then I tried what was basically our last option. I gently slipped a finger into the cage (not all the way, of course) and tried to guide the penis in that way. After some effort and occasional pinching, we managed it.

In short: Choosing the right ring size is important; if necessary, they can be ordered. It takes a bit of skill and practice.

Lock-up duration?

The lock-up duration can be “basically” any length of time.
However, at the beginning, I recommend a shorter duration of a few days (2–4). Later, a week. And after wearing it for a longer period, even several weeks. Thanks to the easy hygiene when wearing this belt, you don’t have to take it off for every shower, for example. However, for health reasons, a man should “stretch it out” once in a while.

(That doesn’t mean he’ll be happy that you have to unlock it once in a while—you can use so-called “milking” and he won’t enjoy that anymore.)
