When I read that this was supposed to be a talking rotating vagina, I was determined that I had to review it. I hadn’t even received the product yet, and I was already coming up with jokes to spice up the review. For example, that I regret the lack of a USB port through which I could upload my own voice clips, or even a microphone so my wife and I could record them together.
Too bad those jokes aren’t even necessary in the end.
In short, the Rotobator is a masturbator designed for the tip of the penis, which stimulates using a rotating silicone insert with many protrusions. That in itself sounds like a fairly common device, were it not for the fact that it also moans and talks.
That was, of course, the first feature that interested me. As soon as I told my wife what I was going to review, she declared that she absolutely couldn’t see it—or rather, hear it—or she’d probably burst out laughing.
The First Real Test
We almost burst during the first test, but definitely not from laughter. A different kind of bursting was looming.
In the description, the manufacturer states that you can connect headphones to the product so you can enjoy the sighs without disturbing anyone. Honestly, it’s necessary. As soon as I turned on the sound, I realized two things.
The first was that the volume is quite realistic—in other words, the toy sounds like a real aroused woman—and the volume cannot be adjusted in any way. That wouldn’t be such a big deal, but unfortunately the built-in speaker isn’t the highest quality. The sound is artificial and audibly resonates.
I went to get my headphones, the earbuds I use with my phone. And that’s when I almost burst. My eardrums. Fortunately, providence advised me not to put the headphones on right away. The volume was unbelievable, and even when I held the headphones tightly clenched in my fist, I could still hear the passionate Englishwoman as if she were right there in the room with me.
So be careful: if you don’t have headphones with volume control (note that the volume control on mobile phone headphones might not work, as I discovered!), you’d better forget about listening to moans up close, or you could damage your hearing.
What will you hear?
As for the content of the recording itself, if you’ve seen the product video, you’ve actually heard all the lines. These are interspersed with moans, and although the voice actress clearly tried her best, the entire loop is roughly a few seconds just a minute long, as I confirmed with a stopwatch. That’s not much, to tell the truth.
The toy itself is noisy when running, like all similar products, but if you turn on the sound through the speaker, it all becomes a cacophony that isn’t very exciting. The dirty talk is then almost impossible to understand.
The dimensions aren’t the smallest
So far, I’ve only talked about the sound (honestly, that’s simply the main feature here), but what is the Rotobator like otherwise?
When I took it out of the box, the first thing that struck me was its size. I understand that the motor and speaker had to fit somewhere, but in my opinion, the whole toy is bulkier than necessary. Overall, the design in black and transparent plastic doesn’t look bad, but the point of the transparent part is apparently just so you can see the inside before buying. When you turn on the rotation, you won’t see anything particularly interesting.
What exactly is the rotation?
Its performance as a masturbator is average. The rotation cannot be adjusted in any way; the speed is constant. Unless you’re particularly sensitive, you probably won’t reach orgasm without a bit of thrusting. Definitely be prepared for the fact that the vagina is quite short, designed primarily for glans stimulation. If you push just a little further, the rotation stops because the motor simply can’t handle it.
There’s not much to say about charging; it’s today’s standard via USB, so you don’t have to worry about batteries. The battery life seems decent so far.
Cleaning and disassembly
As for cleaning and the associated assembly and disassembly, be prepared to get a little hands-on with the Rotobator at first. If I count the cap, it can be taken apart into a total of seven parts, and—again, including the cap—at least four must be disconnected to remove the silicone insert for cleaning. Despite this, assembly doesn’t take too long, and the cleaning itself is a breeze; the silicone insert can, of course, be turned inside out and easily washed.
What do I think of it?
Overall, the PDX Elite Talk Dirty Rotobator is an interesting idea, but unfortunately, it doesn’t seem to have fully delivered on its promises. It’s not for those who like deep penetration, and as far as audio features go, you definitely can’t do without additional audio equipment.
And secondly, it’s debatable whether the sound effects are exciting, because the loop is really short. Personally, I’d probably give this product to someone as a joke gift, saying, “Hey, look what they make these days!”
