How can I better satisfy my partner? That’s a question many men ask themselves—especially those who have trouble lasting during sex. They struggle with issues like premature ejaculation on a daily basis and aren’t quite sure what to do about it. We put our heads together at the editorial office and have a few tips for you that have always helped us (and still do) with sexual stamina.

Erectile dysfunction is becoming more common among men than it used to be. This is caused by many factors. Which ones? What can be done about it?

Erectile dysfunction

Statistics show that every other man over the age of 40 occasionally experiences erectile dysfunction. The problem is that they often don’t admit to having the problem and refuse to address it. They are too embarrassed to see a doctor and prefer to make up various excuses. Yet a doctor could help them resolve the issue.

However, the cause is often psychological in nature. Young men who haven’t had sex yet and are overly afraid of failure may experience erection problems, but often this dysfunction is caused by the stress in which we live.

Improving erections is therefore also possible through relaxation and unlocking psychological blocks that we may not even be aware of.

How to improve male erections – according to advice from Lascivní.cz

We receive a significant portion of our sex advice questions on this topic, and this article will save us a lot of time in the future, as we want to make it a comprehensive source of information for many unhappy men.

Men who, above all, make their wives, mistresses, or girlfriends unhappy (often unnecessarily). We were mainly prompted to write this by a recent question from a visitor with the telling nickname “Stydlín.”

Physical Erection Training

We’ll be repeating ourselves in this article, because we’ve been saying the same thing for years, but there are still plenty of men who don’t believe us (their loss)…

“The penis can be trained much like a human muscle.”

While we can’t consider the penis a muscle per se (and that would make our analogy fit perfectly), training it has certainly never hurt anyone. In our opinion, frequent masturbation—while being mindful of how quickly you climax—will help everyone. It’s demanding, it’s slow, it requires concentration, but it yields results.

Level 1

  • Find the point just before climax and then stop.
  • Wait until you calm down.
  • And repeat the whole process.
  • And so again and again and again, until you improve.

Level 2

  • The procedure is the same, but add some arousing porn footage to it.
  • And again, just before climax…
  • And calm down again.
  • And again.

Level 3

  • Finding the edge before ejaculation, with a video and, most importantly, a toy.
  • Ideally Fleshlight STU – it’s made specifically for pleasure training.
  • And again and again and again.

You might be surprised, but this kind of regular training has already helped many men who stuck with it. You mustn’t give up right away; it will take you a few months—but slowly but surely, you’ll recognize your body’s reactions to stimulation and clearly see when to slow down during sex and when you can pick up the pace again.

Because sex isn’t just about frantic, “jackhammer-style” thrusting, but slowing down and changing positions can do the trick just as well:) That, too, holds the secret to long-lasting lovemaking—knowing when to slow down. And at that moment, you can put your masterful oral skills to work; after all, it’s no big deal if a girl comes more times than you do. Quite the opposite:)

Kegel exercises

It’s surprising, but these exercises—originally designed for women to strengthen the pelvic floor—can also be used effectively by men with erectile dysfunction. We discussed pelvic floor exercises, or Kegel exercises, in more detail in a separate article, which also includes a dedicated section specifically for men – it would be unnecessary to repeat that here.

Mental training for the penis and mind

Another piece of the puzzle called a solid and long-lasting erection is your mind. It may surprise you, but a trained mind will help you last longer in bed (and, most importantly, “stay at attention”). The foundation of this is knowing how to control your body—as we taught you in the first part on physical endurance training.

The second step is to redirect your thoughts during sex to something completely unrelated to sex – a desert, a glacier, clouds, a meadow… it sounds crazy, but use it as an emergency brake for situations where you really can’t physically hold on, but you still want to give your partner a lot more… The effect is powerful, and you’ll gain another few dozen seconds before orgasm.

Which, thanks to being delayed, will be even stronger = you’ll both benefit from it:)

Aids for prolonging erections

What aids are available to improve the quality and duration of an erection? We’ve tried many, and these definitely work.

We’ll go over them one by one so you can understand (and perhaps appreciate) their direct impact on erection duration. And of course, we won’t forget to include the objective pros and cons of each method, so you can form your own opinion about which aid will best improve your erection while not diminishing your sexual experience. After all, there’s always a trade-off, and quick fixes have their downsides too.

Constriction / erection rings

The effect on erection quality and duration here is mechanical. Constriction or erection rings mechanically (partially) prevent blood from flowing back from the penis into the body, so they keep it in the penis and thereby prolong the erection.

Of course, these rings only constrict the penis slightly, but you must not wear them for longer than 5–10 minutes, because you risk losing your penis:) and that’s probably something no one wants. So you’ll need to experiment a bit to find the right size and material, which also makes a big difference.

Desensitizing gels and condoms

The effect here is clear—these gels, oils, and condoms contain a certain desensitizing agent that reduces the sensitivity of the penis, allowing it to withstand longer and more intense stimulation. This is often lidocaine, for example, which is also used in medicine.

So this method for prolonging an erection definitely works (tested for you), but you’ll pay for it with less pleasure during sex. Of course, you’ll still climax, but it might take you more than 10 minutes. On the other hand, your partner can make up for the reduced pleasure during “afterplay”—ideally with oral sex. But first, wash the gel/oil off your penis so she doesn’t end up with a numb mouth too 🙂

Vacuum Pumps

The effect of vacuum pumps on erections has been debated for a long time. We’ve also addressed this in our reviews of these vacuum toys. Our position is that shortly after pumping the penis, its length and girth increase, but after about 10 minutes, it returns to its standard size. So these pumps serve their purpose, but the effect isn’t permanent.

We achieved slightly better results with Bathmate-type water vacuum pumps, which use water instead of air vacuum to increase blood flow to the penis. This seems to work better in some ways, but again, it results in only a short-term enlargement and improvement in erection.

Penis sleeves

Their effect on erections is clear—these sleeves are essentially a thicker “condom,” which covers the entire penis. This reduces friction on the sensitive skin, allowing you to last longer during sex.

Plus, many sleeves have various stimulating ridges, so your partner will enjoy sex more too. But… you’ll enjoy it less, because your sensitivity is numbed by the sleeve. It’s a trade-off.

Erection aids

As part of our testing, we should also look into supplements, capsules, and similar products designed to improve sexual stamina “from the inside,” but naturally, we’re very skeptical of them. We haven’t yet tested various aphrodisiacs, Spanish flies, or specific products like male erection pills—see the list of bestsellers below.

So we can’t currently report on what specific positive effects they have or share our long-term experiences with such products for longer lovemaking.

Hi, I have a question. My boyfriend has a problem with finishing too quickly, and he doesn’t know what to do about it. He’s tried various pills and gels, but nothing has helped so far. Do you know of anything? Please, I’d like to help him.

Hello, our sexuality is significantly influenced by our overall mental state. If your partner is feeling mentally distressed and is struggling with ejaculation problems, this can have an even more negative impact on his condition. Try to encourage and support him as much as possible, and work together to resolve the “problem.” If your partner has already tried gels and pills, it’s possible that the root of the problem really lies in his mental state. If that’s the case, support from a psychologist or sexologist is very important; they may also recommend supportive psychotherapy.

In addition to the gels and pills mentioned, you can try:
– Using a condom (even a thicker one) with a numbing effect or a rougher surface.
– A spray containing a substance that reduces sensitivity in the glans. However, it is necessary to rinse the substance off the penis before sexual intercourse to prevent unwanted numbing of the vagina. It is important to estimate the correct dose so that sexual intercourse does not become too long. Use may also have side effects—reducing the intensity of the man’s orgasm or reducing his ability to reach orgasm.
– The technique of coitus interruptus, or shortening the interval between individual sexual encounters throughout the week. The longer the break between sexual encounters, the shorter the actual sexual act tends to be. More frequent intercourse usually prolongs the time it takes to ejaculate.
– The “start-stop” technique—the man or woman firmly squeezes the glans shortly before ejaculation, which prevents the release of semen. This technique requires some judgment and practice. However, it can significantly prolong sexual intercourse. A man can practice this technique during masturbation, but it is usually preferable if the woman participates as well.
– Nutritional supplements
– Strengthening the pelvic floor muscles.

Good luck.

No one could have convinced me to see a doctor. I bought various products online, but nothing worked. A friend recommended xxxxxx to me, and since then my erections have been totally fine and I last much longer than before.

Sure… Thanks for the lovely promotional comment 😉 Or try something that actually works, not just a pill. Have a great day and enjoy a nice erection!

Hello, my name is Bohunka, and I need some advice regarding my partner. He is 42 years old and has trouble getting and maintaining an erection. Could you please advise me on whether a cream, spray, rings, or something similar might help? Thank you.

Good day,

Basically, the length and quality of an erection depend on “training”—the more sex and masturbation you have, the more your stamina depends on it. Of course, if health issues are to blame, a medical specialist must provide tailored advice based on your partner’s specific condition.

You can simply help by using a desensitizing condom (Pepino, Durex, and others have Performa lines, etc., which contain the desensitizing agent lidocaine). Alternatively, there are also the numbing sprays you mentioned, which work on the same principle. But these are just short-term crutches and do not solve the underlying problem—such as poor blood flow (a doctor can help) or excessive arousal (training can help).

I hope this helps…

Hello, I have a few questions—maybe they’re silly, but I’m curious. My penis curves upward. Is there an advantage to that? Can it be straightened?

I haven’t had sex yet. I’m afraid that during my first time, I won’t be able to get an erection or that I’ll experience premature ejaculation. What should I do about that? And what should I watch out for?

I’d also like to try anal—of course with a condom, since that’s safe—but how do I go about it?

One more question: how can I last longer during sex? I’m afraid I won’t last very long.

One more thing—sorry—how do I choose a condom? Flavored, size, and thin? Latex? It’s my first time. Do you have any tips or recommendations? Brand? Where to buy? Colored or uncolored?

Have a nice day,

Paradoxically, this has the advantage that you’ll stimulate your partner differently—or more intensely—than men with a “straight” penis. In the missionary position, you’ll stimulate her G-spot more effectively, and the same goes for any other sexual position where you’re facing each other.

You can prevent premature ejaculation through training (for example, by practicing alone or with a sex toy like the Fleshlight STU: http://www.lascivni.cz/eroticke-hracky-pomucky/recenze-umela-vagina-fleshlight-stamina/. You can influence ejaculation both physically through contractions of the lower abdominal muscles (which can also be trained in advance) and mentally, but for that you need to know your body and its reactions before orgasm.

It’s safe, and I definitely recommend using a condom. Basically, you can follow our practical guide, which has been tried and tested over the years: http://www.lascivni.cz/sex/jak-na-analni-sex-aneb-jak-roztahnout-prdelku/

We’ve put together a separate photo-video guide on how to choose and put on a condom: http://www.lascivni.cz/vztahy/jak-nasadit-kondom-navod/. It also mentions trusted, tried-and-true brands. Personally, though, I prefer Durex, even though it’s on the pricier side. The type depends on your plans—flavored ones are good for oral sex, extra-thick for longer-lasting sex and greater safety, extra-lubricated for anal, thinner for a more intense experience, and delay condoms with a bit of numbing gel, …

Colored ones are just for fun; they have absolutely no effect. For your first time, I definitely wouldn’t go for colored, striped, or otherwise novelty ones. A basic condom (classic, basic, and similar types) will be enough for you.

Hello, I’d like to ask: does penis size matter? Is masturbation harmful? How can I last longer during sex? Thank you in advance

Good day,

if it’s not 5 cm long when erect, that’s not a problem—the average in the Czech Republic is around 13 cm. Generally, size or length doesn’t matter, but girth is what matters during sex. Naturally, there’s nothing you can do about length, size, or girth.

It definitely doesn’t hurt—quite the opposite. It cleanses the body, boosts your metabolism, and helps you train to increase your stamina.

The key to training your stamina during sex is: train, train, and train (exactly as we write in the article you commented on). Through masturbation, sex, and aids like the Fleshlight—http://www.lascivni.cz/eroticke-hracky-pomucky/recenze-umela-vagina-fleshlight-stamina/—this one is focused purely on stamina training.
