We have another unconventional review/test for you, featuring supposedly revolutionary condoms that aim to completely change the way we view them. These are the uniquely designed LELO Hex condoms.
Why HEX, specifically?
As the name suggests, it’s either about a curse (perhaps a sexual one—the English word hex), or something related to the number 6 (from the Greek hexi / έξι).
Which do you think is more likely? When you look at the photos or video in the article, you’ll see that the second option is more likely.
In other words, the surface of this condom is made up of a bunch of hexagons – and note, this isn’t just a pattern on the surface of the condom; they were actually separate pieces at first and were only joined together with incredible precision during production.
How do they differ
There are a total of (and we counted them by hand for our readers—we value you that much) 350. It may not be very meaningful, but what wouldn’t we do for you 🙂
At its core, it’s traditional, albeit extremely high-quality natural latex (or rubber, if you prefer), but it’s specifically layered for greater strength. At the Swedish company LELO, which is otherwise known for its luxury sex toys made of medical-grade silicone, they wanted to create the safest condom on the market.
And they couldn’t achieve that with a classic condom design or shape—only with something new. In other words, repeating the same principle over and over will never yield a different result…
An unpuncturable condom?
And so they assembled a condom designed to have an impenetrable structure made up of hundreds of tiny pieces. And you know what? It really works.
The individual hexagons are independent of one another, so puncturing or damaging one does not compromise the integrity of the entire condom’s surface. In other words, it won’t tear completely, as we’ve seen with traditional condoms.

It’s no wonder they say that HEX (LELO even has a trademark for this name) is one of the biggest revolutions/innovations in the condom industry in the last 40 years!
If they’re so innovative, what about the price?
Here’s the catch at first glance. If you buy the “single-pack,” i.e., the smallest box of 3, you’ll pay 83 CZK per piece. Which is really quite a lot, even though it’s safer and more interesting than all other condoms combined.
But if you go for a larger pack—and every “sex enthusiast” goes through a lot of condoms, as you’ll surely agree—say, a 72-pack, then each one comes out to a reasonable 22 CZK. Which is comparable to classic brand-name condoms. And that’s a price worth paying for this specialty item.
Even a Hollywood wild man recommends them
A well-known Hollywood bon vivant, predator, and likely sex addict Charlie Sheen has also joined the promotion of this unconventional condom.
If that name sounds familiar, it’s probably because a few years back he admitted that he contracted HIV during his legendary orgies. And that’s why he’s now working extremely hard to educate the public so they don’t end up like him.

What do we think of them?
If you opt for the larger pack, the main issue (the higher price) disappears, leaving you with just an unconventional condom that can withstand a lot and ensures worry-free sex. If you’re on the larger side, you can choose the Respect XL variant with a nominal width of 58 mm, which should please the well-endowed gentlemen among us.
We also appreciate that, thanks to the specific manufacturing process, these condoms (even though they’re made of traditional latex) have a noticeably milder scent than the one most people associate with condoms.
So, to sum it up—a very interesting and unconventional condom that we’d recommend to everyone (even if just to try).
Most importantly, it will earn you major brownie points with your partners, wives, lovers, or friends (or all of them at once in rare cases), showing that you care about them and bring extra-quality protection for both of you into your sexual play. And that counts, doesn’t it?
