When you’ve been going to the same place for three years, you expect either an ever-bigger sensation or stagnation. Fortunately, I wouldn’t have expected a decline in quality from the more than 20-year-old erotic fair in Berlin, and it didn’t disappoint us this time either. Thanks for that!

How we enjoyed the Venus erotic fair

Only the first few hours felt like déjà vu from previous years, which we also visited with the Lascivní.cz editorial team. Same venue (Messe Exhibition Center), same “setting,” naked young and adult girls, toys as far as the eye can see… The only difference was the rearrangement of the individual exhibits—previously, the porn stars and live shows were in the right wing; now they’ve been mirrored over to the other side.

What’s new in adult toys and products:

  • Satysfier Men – a male masturbator with vacuum technology,
  • LELO Sona – a “copy” of the Womanizer by the well-known Swedish brand,
  • Cerebrator – a fun gadget that attaches to a classic toothbrush,
  • Fun Factory showcased hybrid vibrators powered by magnetic Click n Charge and classic AA batteries—apparently that’s what the target audience wants,
  • as well as the successor to the Stronic pulsator—designed specifically for the G-spot—the Stronic G,
  • not to mention the new designer menstrual cups from the German brand FF,

Just like before, there were literally piles of toys; that’s how it is every year at the classic sex fairs, but we probably know them all by now. Perhaps the only items that got more space here were erotic swings (sex swings). A real standout like the previously featured H20 vibrator, which we brought to the Czech Republic (we don’t know of a better shower companion), wasn’t among the unassuming booths here. But there was still plenty to explore, and there will definitely be a few reviews once we get these items to our editorial office.

The face of the artificial vagina/masturbator Satisfyer Men is the famous retired porn star Rocco Siffredi — if you don’t know him, just know that in the porn world, he’s the equivalent of superstars like U2, the Rolling Stones, and other stars of everyday life. He was there in person; you could get an autograph from him, have “his” new toy signed, or anything else you could think of (even bare breasts got signed).

The tagline for the Satisfyer Men sounds pretty great 🙂
1,800 movies, 5,000 women, and 1 best orgasm = Satisfyer Men

Just like last time, there was no shortage of exhibits of realistic sex dolls (life-size fuck dolls).

Compared to last time, visitors were left a bit “high and dry,” and there were fewer “wheel of fortune”-style contests for various toys—no wonder, since last time pretty much everyone won some pretty expensive vibrators from Mystim and other brands… I guess the brands figured it wasn’t really paying off for them anymore 🙂

In my opinion, this was also why the Mystim booth was relatively empty (compared to last year), whereas there were still plenty of people at Eis—not only because of the slightly generous wheel of fortune, but also because of the new “vibrators” from Satisfyer. These combine classic rabbit vibrators with their vacuum technology—it was only a matter of time before someone did it.

Famous (and lesser-known) porn stars were also in attendance…

As I wrote last time, this year too saw a dramatic increase in the number of girls who were natural-looking—almost like “the girl next door.” No inflated 5s or unnatural looks. Yes, those weren’t here either, but the trend is clear to us—namely, more and more normal girls (maybe even amateurs, who are on the rise—see Hot Girls Wanted), who were perfectly fine with A or B cups. Many of them knew how to “carry” them, and they were just as appealing to visitors. Implants were only really visible among the older generation of porn actresses—which, in my opinion, is a good thing.

The young girls were prettier, but I still only really liked maybe two of them—the very young Little Caprice (surprise, surprise, a Czech girl) and one petite blonde who was almost too good for adult films. I hope the Czech actresses forgave me for childishly asking them for a photo in English and then thanking them in Czech, which threw them off their rehearsed lines and smiles 🙂

At autograph sessions, live shows, or just smiling as they walked by, the following were in attendance: Samy Fox, Lena Nitro, RoxxxyX, Texas Patti, Naomi Cole, Sophie White, PussyKat, Jacky Lawless, Anny Aurora, Dirty Tina, Melina Ink, Jacky Valentine, Nikky Dream, Puma Moore, Lola Taylor, Chrystal Reynolds, Cassie Fire, Fox Lix, Bonny Devil, Holly Banks, July Johnson, Izzy Mendosa, Poppsi, Patty Michova, Carmen Rivera, Coco Kiss, Luna Rival, and many others (according to the program, more than 100 different porn actresses from around the world).

The live shows also found their fans

Out of all the live shows on site, the only one I could actually watch was a topless striptease at the pole featuring a girl who was a master of pole dancing. With her blonde hair and knee-high socks, she looked like she’d stepped right out of an American high school. She knew exactly how to dance for an enthusiastic crowd.

The improvised “DJ” show with one of the Venus Festival’s recent stars—Micaela Schäfer—also deserved applause. She started out wearing only (!sic provocative) lingerie, and by the end of the show, there wasn’t much clothing left…

Several adult film stars certainly enjoyed their part of the program, likely inspired by a series of provocative videos titled Hysterical Literature. For that, you need a daring girl and, in this case, large Sybian vibrating pads. And then you just watch as her clitoris and entire crotch get a solid dose of vibrations while she tries to read a book O:)

Adult movies that (unfortunately) aren’t just watched by adults anymore)

Just like last time, a major topic was VR – there were more booths, but I didn’t really notice any major breakthroughs. You either had standalone goggles with a powerful smartphone or goggles connected by a cable. But a new generation of VR devices is already on the way (such as Oculus Go and others will surely follow), and these could help bring virtual (sex) reality to the masses.

A kinky scene for fetish lovers

Our favorite stage at Venus didn’t disappoint this year either. The original, purely bondage show (actually, strictly lesbian) was spiced up this year with the classic Mistress/slave dynamic and two latex babes, who left no one indifferent. The most interesting part was the upper bar, where several strict dominatrixes had set up their lair, featuring their latex ponies and other slaves imprisoned in cages, on bondage beds, gynecological chairs, in various demanding harnesses, and they certainly didn’t go easy on them.

Miss Peel (our favorite), Cassandra Casal, Lady Doro, and other BDSM/fetish stars were moving around the kink scene and fetish booths.

What We Took Away from Venus 2017

For a change, we only stopped by briefly this year, so we could only see the program for 1 day (Friday). Even so, we saw a solid cross-section of live shows, walked through all the toy booths, … for us, 1 day is ideal. If you were to go as regular visitors, two days would be ideal for leisurely browsing, checking out toys, piles of erotic lingerie, and individual erotic strip shows and performances.

Venus may be the benchmark for a massive erotic event in Berlin, but the bigger something gets, the more it can become stale after many, many years (last year was the 20th edition).
Fortunately, this does not apply to Berlin’s erotic scene and their Venus. Both in the program and among the exhibitors, there was a noticeable shift in thinking and a search for new ways to captivate visitors, arouse them, and get them excited about a new world of eroticism.

We enjoyed a tantalizing mix of beautiful women, a touch of dark fetish, and the latest in sex toys = what more could you ask for?

Děkuji za pěkné zhodnocení veletrhu. I díky Vaší recenzi předchozích ročníků jsme se letos rozhodli veletrh také navštívit. Nelitovali jsme! Hračky jsme procházeli v sobotu ale Satysfier Men tam nikde nebyl. Co mi tam chybělo je určitě zastoupení firmy fleshligt.
Jinak skvělá show, rozhodně ta atmosféra stojí za to!

Děkujeme za zpětnou vazbu a jsme rádi, že doporučení vyšlo 🙂 Souhlasíme, ne všechny značky tam jsou zastoupené přímo, třeba Fleshlight tam byl jen přes přeprodejce.

No, panečku! To jste si to tam užívali! Doufám, že to samé bude i v listopadu v Praze – na Erofestu.

Snad ano, ale v ČR je ten trend zlepšujích se festivalů/veletrhů o hodně pomalejší. Ale každopádně tam budeme taky!
