We previously tested a pair of “orgasmic” gels that were designed to (and did) help bring on an orgasm. How did they do it? Through a combination of specific clitoral stimulation that testers described as both a burning and cooling sensation. They were Stimul 8 and Durex Play O.
And today’s entire review will focus on the successor to the latter. The new product is called Durex Intense Orgastic Gel, and its goal is the same—to make it easier for all women to reach orgasm. And ideally, to make them even more intense. This time, we received it for testing from the sex shop Růžovýslon.cz.
How does it differ from the previous generation?
Compared to last time, the packaging is a bit lighter—this time no glass bottle, just a plastic ampoule with a plastic pump. It’s not offensive, and in the end, its discreetness might even be a plus. The price has also changed; unlike last time (which is unusual), it has gone down. So more people will be able to enjoy this gel.
And this gel is now also used in the special Durex Intense line of condoms. We haven’t tried those yet—though we love all Durex products and hardly use any other condoms.
What’s in the package
Basically, the package contains just the gel ampoule, a dispenser, and instructions. You can safely throw those away; this review will serve you just as well. According to the manufacturer, for optimal results, use 2 drops—or 2 squeezes of the dispenser.

How long does it last?
With this method of use, 10 ml (it’s not much, but the effect makes up for it) should be enough for 20 intimate encounters. Personally, I’d guess around 15 times, because you won’t always use just a few drops. And most importantly, this gel can be used for more than just the clitoris.
Your nipples can also get some attention—it’s not just women’s nipples that are erogenous zones. They feel more taut and sensitive. But your partner’s glans can also enjoy the specific stimulation of this gel.
Feel free to experiment, but I recommend not using it for anal play—mainly because of the amount, but also because of the effect. Even warming/cooling gels aren’t recommended for the butt—manufacturers probably know why they advise against it.
How does it actually work during sex?
With this new (unannounced) version, it’s very similar to the last one—a unique (which isn’t necessarily a bad thing) sensation consisting of heating and cooling at the same time. Just applying the gel will get your partner in the mood—a few drops on your fingertips and gently rub it over her exposed clitoris. Just this application and stimulation of the clitoris will help many neglected women reach orgasm faster.
Sensationally, it really feels like a mix of warming and cooling gel that doesn’t turn into a gel that does nothing, but which can even cause a subtle tingling sensation on the sensitive clitoris…
Overall—it’s a solid successor. The effect is very similar to Play O, which is already being phased out, so it’s possible that this is just a slightly improved and cheaper version of this popular (I hesitate to call it a lubricant) gel. On behalf of our editorial team – I recommend it, but be prepared for one “session” to cost you about 13 CZK. But is that an acceptable price for better stimulation and orgasms? We think so 🙂
